Crosby Hanna Feature Wall
Precision in Pattern: A Reception Redefined
This custom woodworking project was designed to create calm separation between the front reception and the offices while keeping the room open and connected. The solution frames the existing central wall with two semi see-through bookend features that read as sculpture, screen, and wayfinding all at once.
Each module was hand cut and fitted with precision joinery so there are no visible fasteners. Quarter-circle forms nest inside a clean grid, creating a randomized composition that still mirrors left to right for visual balance. The company logo was custom cut into a select piece on each side, giving the brand a subtle, permanent presence.
The screen pairs sit flush with surrounding finishes and align with the custom credenza and reception desk for a continuous grain story. Light from the front windows moves through the curves during the day, softening sightlines without closing off the workspace. The result is a simple idea executed with care: privacy where it’s needed, openness where it matters, and a strong first impression for every visitor.
